Recipe: Apple Sage Cocktail

It’s true that in Los Angeles we are blessed with a warm winter, but some days when it gets to be below 70 degrees, we could all use a drink to stay warm and feel the spirit of winter. As Blaine puts it, “It’s an ode to the brighter less savory fall flavors. It’s comfortable and classic, makes you feel like your enjoying a brisk LA winter day or a nice fall day anywhere else”. Follow Blaine’s simple recipe for his seasonal Apple Sage Cocktail below.

APPLE SAGE COCKTAIL RECIPE

Ingredients:
3/4 oz Fresh Lemon
3/4 oz Demerara Syrup
1/2 oz Fresh Green Apple Juice
1 dash Apple Bitters
1 Sage Leaf
1 Egg White
2 oz Jack Daniels

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and give it a  long hard shake. Doyle strain into a cup and garnish with fresh sage.
