In the classic LA style, we’ve brought all there is to love about BBQ under one smoke house. The menu reveals countless hours of love and devotion poured into perfecting the art of “low and slow”. Our Pit-Masters draw from their travels and cherished family recipes to provide both daily specials and the perfect side kick to any one of our smoked meats. Hand rubbed in the classic fashion with salt and pepper, all our meats are slow smoked over California coastal Red Oak, or treated with our signature Barrel Rub and grilled over an open flame of White Oak. Pair that with one of the finest Whiskey selections in LA or craft beers, and you’ve got one memorable dining experience. Welcome to your posse’s new favorite hangout.

The feel of Barrel & Ashes is meant to be fun, warm, and welcoming.  After stripping the building back to its original 1940’s structure, Ricki Kline then creatively redesigned the interior to capture that classically rustic and authentic feel of a restaurant that’s been on the block for generations. One preserved legacy of this storied Studio City building is the meticulously restored tile-work spanning most of the dining room floor. Indoor seating consists of communal tables, classic table seating, and a chef’s counter with a front row view of all the smokey goodness. Patio seating features picnic style tables for small to large groups and is reminiscent of a Texan backyard bar-b-que. Floor to ceiling windows separates indoor from outdoor allowing in plenty of natural sunlight. The exterior awning is equipped with sunshades and heat-lamps so outdoor dining is always comfortable. Come hungry, leave happy. We’re excited to have you dine with us.
